Examinations & Presentation Classes
Closing Date
The closing date for our Examination & Presentation entries will be in
mid July, 2012. The Royal Academy of Dancing (R.A.D.) does NOT accept late
entries. Entries cannot be changed from Examination to Presentation or
vice versa.
Refunds
Please consider carefully if you would like to participate in
exams or presentation classes. There are no refunds if you change your
mind or if you cannot attend for any reason.
Holiday Classes
The holiday classes will be from Tuesday 2nd October to
Friday 5th October. If your student is doing an Exam and cannot attend the
holiday classes, it is normally necessary to take private lessons to
catch up. Rates for private lessons can be found on the
Class Pricing page.
Examination Marking
The R.A.D. has altered their
marking procedures. A level of performance which would previously been
awarded a grade of Distinction, is now awarded a Merit. A lower grade
this year compared to previous years does not mean lower performance and
should not be a source of concern. Please be aware of these changes and
adjust your expectations accordingly.
When are the Exams/Presentations?
In most years, our exams have been in late November or early
December. We hope that it will be the same in 2012. The RAD will
reveal our exact dates by early October.
Please note that as the exams are held during school hours, your dancer will need to take
approximately 2 hours off school to attend.
